Taking Steps Against Breast Cancer

Pink Ribbon BalloonsOur 10th annual walk will take place on Saturday, October 1, 2011, at 11:00am with registration beginning at 9:30am.  The location will be at Twin Lakes Park Pavillion #7. Walkers may choose to participate in teams or individually.  A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition.  Proceeds also benefit the Westmoreland Walks, Inc. Pink Ribbon Scholarship and Spa Serenity Day, which is a day provided for a group of Westmoreland County survivors to enjoy a full day of spa services, education, lunch and much more at no cost.

MAIL-IN REGISTRATION – Deadline September 16, 2011 - $25.00
To have a registration form mailed to you, call 724-382-4148 or download and print a form here. Once you have registered, your Registration Packets can be picked up at Westmoreland Mall on Friday, September 23rd from 5pm to 8pm or on Saturday, September 24th from 10am to 4pm (more details to follow) or at the Registration Tent on the day of the event. Registration packets include your T-shirt and other materials for use at the walk.

WALK-IN REGISTRATION – Saturday, September 17th, Friday, September 23rd and Saturday, September 24th - $25.00
Register at Westmoreland Mall on Saturday, September 17th from 10am to 2pm, Friday, September 23rd from 5pm to 8pm or Saturday, September 24th from 10am to 2pm and you will leave with your Registration packet in hand!

EVENT DAY REGISTRATION – Saturday, October 1, 2011 - $30.00
You are still able to register with us at the Registration Tent on Event Day!  The fee is $30 and you will receive your materials at that time.  Availability of t-shirts may be limited.

On event day, parking will be available at Twin Lakes County Park – a lot will be reserved for Westmoreland Walks participants next to the East Parking Area (look for the pink balloons!) 

All Breast Cancer Survivors will be designated by a pink t-shirt and will be honored at the “Celebration of Life” activities preceding the walk.
